Symphony of Fate - Set-Up Empty Symphony of Fate - Set-Up

Tue Apr 16, 2024 9:32 am
"Welcome! You all have died, but you've been selected to live again in the world I govern." These are the words that escaped the mouth of the sight greeting a massive group of nearly a hundred people. A tall, slender man wearing a mischievous grin addressed the group. They were going to another world, one with a system similar to a video game where people possessed skills. To give people a chance to catch up with, and potentially overtake, the denizens of the world he gave everyone points to spend and acquire skills. There was no catch to his words, he just wished to see how the people before him would shape the world he was sending them too. As a bright white light engulfs the group of people, a few friends find themselves standing on a hill without a clue of where they are in the new world. So begins the adventure of friends, who unbeknownst to them would forever alter the fate of a doomed world.

Symphony of Fate - Set-Up Empty Re: Symphony of Fate - Set-Up

Example of Character:

Name: Elias Thorne
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Appearance: Symphony of Fate - Set-Up 360_F_716546858_z4Z7FO8tVwYf0D3ZPeHphufxgChapQgr (Before) Symphony of Fate - Set-Up 93834da23141403bbb38ac630faf01d7 (After)
Skills: Nephilim Race, Dark Magic 2, Dark Magic Aptitude, Sneak 2, Scout 2, Deception 2, Disassembly 1, Dagger Mastery 3, Archery 2, Herbalism 1
Backstory: Elias Thorne was the prodigy of a renowned (and somewhat infamous) family of thieves.  Nicknamed "The Whisper" for his silent movements, Elias possessed a natural aptitude for stealth and deception.  He spent his childhood honing his skills under the watchful eye of his gruff but surprisingly sentimental  grandfather, Silas.  Silas instilled in Elias a strong moral code, emphasizing the importance of targeting only the corrupt and greedy.  However, this code clashed with the more pragmatic views of Elias's ruthless father, Corvus.
Elias's life revolved around meticulously planned heists, elaborate disguises, and heart-stopping escapes.  He felt a thrill in the challenge, the dance between risk and reward.  Despite his grandfather's teachings, Elias couldn't help but be drawn to the allure of wealth and the finer things in life.  He justified his actions by believing he was simply taking back what the corrupt had stolen.

One fateful night, during a daring heist targeting a notorious slaver, things went terribly wrong.  A silent alarm triggered a lockdown, trapping Elias and his father.  Corvus, ever the pragmatist, shoved Elias aside, using him as a distraction to escape.  Cornered and desperate, Elias fought his way through guards, but in the ensuing chaos, he was mortally wounded.  As his vision faded, he saw not his father, but a look of disappointment in his grandfather's eyes – a phantom image born of regret.

Elias awoke to a strange new world, offered a chance at redemption.  Haunted by his past mistakes and the weight of his family's legacy, Elias chose the path of the assassin.  He would use his skills for good, eliminating those who threatened the innocent, a silent guardian in the shadows.  Yet, a sliver of doubt lingered.  Could he truly escape the cycle of violence and deceit that had defined his life?  This internal struggle would fuel his journey, pushing him to be a better person, a worthy heir to his grandfather's legacy.
